Position Summary...What you'll do...Role summary:
As a Software Engineer III, you will lead the design and development of scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues, performing root cause analysis, and delivering high-quality code aligned with business objectives. You will manage project requirements, support continuous integration and deployment, and mentor junior engineers. Your expertise will drive innovation and ensure sustainable, secure, and maintainable applications that meet evolving technical and business needs within a dynamic environment.

Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few. Our team supports thousands of store associates across our markets by enabling efficient inventory management and store operations applications.
What you'll do:
As a Software Engineer III, you will be accountable for coding, prompting, debugging, and unit testing. You will develop high-performance, scalable solutions that support millions of Walmart International customers across supply chain management and customer experience domains. We seek engineers who are intellectually curious, passionate about technology, and motivated to deepen their domain expertise.
What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years of experience in software engineering or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in software engineering 
  • Proven experience in software design, development, and debugging using object-oriented programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or C#.
  • Strong technical acumen with expertise in platform design, API design, and component services.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage small to large complex projects, translating requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Proficiency in iterative and incremental development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, defect management, and troubleshooting production issues effectively.
