Opportunity Overview

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our growing GI team in Bend, Oregon. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice in a collaborative, physician-led environment while enjoying an exceptional quality of life in one of the Pacific Northwests most desirable communities.

Whether you are an experienced gastroenterologist or a current fellow, you will join a supportive care team dedicated to delivering high quality gastroenterology services throughout Central Oregon. Providers work closely with experienced APPs, RNs, and administrative staff across outpatient clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, hospital-based call, and medical diagnostic units.

Practice Highlights

  • Blend of outpatient clinic, procedures, and inpatient consultative care

  • Minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week

  • Primary practice location in Bend, Oregon

  • Strong APP and RN support

  • Epic EMR system

  • Advanced endoscopic skills including EUS and ERCP welcomed but not required

  • Collaborative and collegial physician culture

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic GI procedures including EGD and colonoscopy

  • Provide comprehensive care for a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to deliver patient-centered care

  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and prevention

  • Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation

Qualifications

Required

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Completion of Gastroenterology fellowship training

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

  • Oregon medical license or ability to obtain

  • DEA certification

Preferred

  • EUS and ERCP experience

  • Experience in hospital and outpatient GI practice settings
