Summary:

Travels throughout the territory (Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota), representing, selling, and servicing Fabricut, Stroheim, Vervain, S. Harris and Trend accounts; increasing both territory volume and profitability by developing strong relationships with customers and by following the sales program set by the sales manager. Candidate needs to live in the greater Minneapolis, MN area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represents and manages Fabricut, Stroheim, Vervain, S.Harris and Trend in a professional manner and appearance.
  • Visit each account on a consistent basis.
  • Build market share by generating business through established accounts and prospecting for new accounts.
  • Build cut order sales to increase profit.
  • Consistently make required number of sales calls, meeting or exceeding all sales quotas.
  • Compile data for required daily reports.
  • Provide proper sampling to customers through advances sample book management techniques.
  • Evaluate customers and their needs through effective use of printouts and other sales tools, matching product to customers’ needs.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with current and potential customers.
  • Advises customer as to kind and quantity of fabric.
  • Discusses features and qualities of fabric such as weave, texture, color and washability.
  • Suggests harmonizing or matching colors of fabrics.
  • Prepares sales slips.
  • Prepare and implement all aspects of a sales call.
  • Must have knowledge of product, pricing, availability of fabric, and back-order substitutions.
  • Must update sample books on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to sell new programs, piece goods, and Fabricut Advantages.
  • Respond to customer’s questions and problems on a timely basis and offer a solution as quickly as possible, mediating and resolving challenges fairly.
  • Interfaces with other departments to provide good service.
  • Displays good safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Uses material and equipment effectively.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
