Job description

**Registered Nurse (RN)**

Iowa Skilled Nursing – local contractors welcome

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include but are not limited to:

The role is responsible for patient assessments, planning, supervising, interventions, and evaluations designed to prevent complications of physical disability, restore optimal functioning, and help the patient adapt to an altered lifestyle. Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality and efficient patient care according to established standards. Ensures that professional and acute nursing care has been provided to all patients. Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards. Performs other duties as directed. Assist patients in regaining their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence.

Qualifications of the Registered Nurse include:

· An active RN license.

· One (1) year recent experience preferred. Skilled setting preferred.

· The desire to care for compromised patients and act with integrity.

· The ability to work flexible hours.

· Current BLS certification from AHA required

· Current ACLS certification from AHA preferred

· Must have electronic charting system experience
