Primary Purpose:

The faculty member is responsible for teaching, providing clinical supervision, and mentoring student research in the doctoral clinical and school psychology programs. Evidence of scholarly productivity is required. A track record of, or potential to secure, external funding to support research is desirable. Faculty rank is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Pay Basis:  Annually

Subject to Grant Funding?   

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Teaches courses in clinical and forensic psychology in the doctoral programs in clinical psychology.
2. Maintains an active research program and develop peer-reviewed publications.
3. Mentors doctoral students in research.
4. Creates a climate that is conducive to learning.
5. Supports the mission of the College by demonstrating flexibility in meeting program needs for supervision, and/or meetings.
6. Participates in department-wide activities such as faculty meetings, chairing dissertations and directed study projects, clinical competency examinations, and other service activities as assigned.
7. Contributes expertise in the area of forensic psychology.
8. Serves and contributes to appropriate department, college, university, and national committees.
9. Maintains a professional development plan to assure growth and currency within the academic field.
10. Performs other duties as assigned or required by the Department Chair and/or Dean.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Florida.

Required Education: Doctoral Degree

Major (if required: Clinical, Counseling Psychology or related field

Required Experience: 1. University teaching experience.
2. A record of scholarly publications.
3. Clinical/scholarly expertise in forensic psychology

Preferred Qualifications: 

1. Five (5) years teaching graduate level courses in psychology or related field.
2. Supervision experience.
3. Potential to secure external funding to support a research program.
