Your Role Includes:

  • Parenting and mentoring boys in your care
  • Managing household duties and maintenance

Requirements:

As a Goshen Valley Boys Ranch Houseparent you will:

  • Be hired as a couple married to each other.
  • One or both must have, or be working toward gaining a bachelors Degree, or have a minimum of three years of experience house-parenting for a youth care agency.
  • Both must have a GED or High School Diploma.
  • Must have a demonstrated understanding and ability to work with troubled youth, and have experience working with youth in an official capacity.
  • Must be of good character, and supportive of the programs, policies, and ideals of GVBR.
  • Must be able to pass a health exam, drug and background check, possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable by the GVF insurance carrier.
  • Must hold first aid and CPR certification, and have or obtain a minimum of 24 clock hours of training relative to working with troubled youth/childcare agency procedures, as required by the state.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide moral, ethical, and spiritual leadership that coincides with the program and policies of GVF.
