D&B Supply is a company built to serve those that live and love the northwest, including ranchers, farmers, and suburbanites who feel a real connection to the land, their animals, and the outdoors.  


Job Summary: Assists buying team members by entering and processing data for the selection and procurement of merchandise, which supports overall company sales volume, gross margin and turnover objectives. This role is responsible for selecting and purchasing sporting goods products related to hunting, fishing, camping, shooting, and general outdoors. The ideal candidate will combine strong data analysis skills with rigorous attention to detail.


Essential Functions/Duties:   

  • Learn and fully utilize available technology to maximize job efficiency including vendor B2B information sites to access UPC codes, place orders, etc. 
  • Maintain system data related to new vendors, SKU's, min/max, special orders and pricing. 
  • Work directly with buyers in providing clerical support regarding system and product information. 
  • Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through consistent communication and follow-up with the vendor, distribution center and store locations. 
  • Research and maintain information regarding price and specifications, from vendors, catalogs and the Internet for new and existing product. 
  • Maintain show specials in the computer system adjusting discounts, pricing and terms. 
  • Maintain replenishment system for standard merchandise on a weekly basis. 
  • Communicate daily (via phone, email and Teams chat) with stores and other internal personnel in resolving issues regarding new product lines, special order capabilities, pricing, advertising and delivery of merchandise. 
  • Other duties pertaining to the procurement of products, goods or services as assigned by area manager/director.


Requirements


Required Knowledge and Skills: Requires excellent written and oral communication skills along with strong analytical, organizational and computer skills. Must be very proficient with Excel with a working knowledge of 10 key and word processing; ability to manage heavy data entry duties. 


Required Experience: At least 2 years experience in an office, accounting, purchasing or data entry environment preferred, not required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or other analytical spreadsheet tools, inventory management, pricing and review, and freight, is required.  


Required Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or equivalent experience preferred, not required. 


Other Requirements: Must be able to spend many hours a day working at a computer, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 45 lbs (most items will be less 1-5 lb range).
