Product Sales Associate - Surgical Imaging

The Product Sales Associate (PSA) supports the sale of surgical Carms and associated imaging equipment and solutions to hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic imaging centers and is ideal for a selfstarter who enjoys being on the road, meeting new people, and initiating conversations. Working closely with a mentor Product Sales Executive, the PSA gains handson exposure to the full sales lifecycle while learning how to identify customer needs, support the development of appropriate clinical and financial solutions, and build relationships with key clinical and administrative decisionmakers.


This role includes participating in customer meetings, product discussions, and demonstrations.... sometimes within hospital surgical operating rooms and clinical environments, including presence during live surgical procedures. When in the OR, PSAs comply with all hospital, safety, infection control, and sterile field protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including surgical attire. With guidance from the assigned mentor, the position focuses on learning the Delta sales process, products, and customer engagement practices while supporting territory activities and revenue growth, with the goal of developing the skills and confidence needed for future independent sales responsibility.

Hybrid work model: 10% in home office and 70% - 90% travel to customer sites.


Potential Compensation: $55,000 - $100,000 annually


TRAVEL SITES: All of Ohio by car plus western Pennsylvania.


Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Support Delta Medical Systems' quality policy through compliance with quality management system documentation.
  • With guidance from a skilled Product Sales Executive, manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, presenting solutions, negotiating terms, and closing deals.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to drive long-term engagement and loyalty.
  • Identify opportunities through cold-calling and in-person visits.
  • Conduct sales visits inside operating rooms predominantly in the non-sterile section.
  • Continuously expand product knowledge by leveraging internal resources such as technical updates, product specialists, management guidance, and clinical applications.
  • Monitor and manage individual deal-related costs to ensure alignment with profitability targets.
  • Proactively assess customer needs and position relevant solutions across the surgery products portfolio.
  • Maintain post-sale communication to support customer satisfaction, retention, and future business opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, documentation, and internal communication related to sales activities, pipeline, and deals in progress.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of field sales experience
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, professional, and goal-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
  • Ability to work in hospital surgical operating rooms and clinical environments, including presence during live surgical procedures.
  • Ability to comply with all hospital, safety, infection control, and sterile field protocols.
  • Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including surgical attire.
