Job Summary (List Format) Senior Software Engineer Python/Web Development, AWS & EKS
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services using Python and modern web technologies (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
- Build, deploy, and support cloud-native applications on AWS, with a focus on Amazon EKS and containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations, applying secure coding practices and organizational security standards.
- Create and manage Kubernetes deployment manifests, Helm charts, services, ingress, ConfigMaps, and secrets.
- Implement automated CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to applications, containers, networking, Kubernetes, and AWS environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product owners, architects, DevOps, security, business stakeholders) to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement monitoring, centralized logging, alerting, and performance optimization for applications and infrastructure.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, sprint planning, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support production deployments, application releases, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
- Work in an Agile delivery environment, communicating effectively with onsite and offshore teams.
- Focus on delivering secure, scalable, highly available, and maintainable enterprise solutions.
Technical & Soft Skills Overview:
- Proficient in Python and modern web frameworks; skilled with frontend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Strong experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) and container orchestration.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and hands-on experience managing deployments.
- Familiar with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB) and Git-based source control.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Able to take ownership, work independently, and drive technical tasks through completion.
- Demonstrates adaptability, willingness to learn, and a strong focus on quality, security, and reliability.
Preferred:
- AWS/Kubernetes certifications, knowledge of DevSecOps, event-driven architectures, regulated industry experience, and expertise in authentication/authorization protocols.
