Print Press Machine Operator
Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Schedule
Rotating 3-Day Workweek
  • Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Friday/Saturday
  • Day Shift: 7:45 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:45 PM – 8:00 AM
Pay Rate
$17.00 – $18.70 per hour
Position Overview
PRT Staffing is seeking dependable and mechanically inclined individuals to join our team as Print Press Machine Operators. In this role, you will operate and maintain printing press equipment to produce high-quality printed materials while ensuring production efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met. Ideal candidates will have manufacturing or machine operation experience and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor, and adjust printing press machinery to maintain production quality and efficiency.
  • Set up equipment for production runs, including material loading, calibration, and machine adjustments.
  • Conduct routine quality inspections and color matching to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues and escalate maintenance concerns when necessary.
  • Record production data, maintenance activities, and quality checks accurately.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout protocols.
  • Handle materials, chemicals, and supplies in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment, printing presses, or similar machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, production instructions, and quality standards.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
  • Experience in printing, packaging, converting, or manufacturing environments.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production setting.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, production equipment, and industrial materials.
  • PPE required, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and other equipment as needed.
  • Candidate must be comfortable working a rotating schedule and extended shifts.
