Our projects include custom in-ground swimming pools, patios, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, pavilions, fire features, retaining walls, and complete backyard transformations.

We're looking for an experienced construction leader who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship, and has the ability to lead crews while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.

As a Foreman, you'll oversee daily construction operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, communicate with homeowners, and ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Position Summary

The Pool Construction Foreman is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of assigned construction projects. This position provides leadership to installation crews, coordinates project activities, maintains quality control, enforces safety standards, and serves as the primary on-site representative of Pool Professionals Ohio throughout the construction process.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise daily construction activities for pool and outdoor living projects.

  • Coordinate crew assignments and manage workflow to maximize efficiency.

  • Construct custom swimming pools, hardscapes, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, pavilions, fire features, and other outdoor living structures.

  • Read construction plans, verify layouts, elevations, grades, and measurements.

  • Coordinate project schedules with the Director of Operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.

  • Ensure projects remain on schedule while maintaining quality workmanship and budget expectations.

  • Perform routine quality inspections throughout every phase of construction.

  • Identify field challenges and implement effective solutions while minimizing project delays.

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for homeowners and communicate project updates professionally.

  • Document daily progress, photos, buried work, completed work, issues, corrections, and project notes using JobTread.

  • Oversee the safe operation and maintenance of company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment.

  • Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.

  • Train, mentor, and develop crew members to improve productivity and craftsmanship.

  • Conduct and enforce daily jobsite safety practices and company policies.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites.

  • Assist with snow removal, warehouse organization, and other company support activities during slower seasons as needed.

  • Represent Pool Professionals Ohio professionally with customers, suppliers, inspectors, and subcontractors.

QualificationsRequired
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Reliable transportation to our Pataskala shop each morning.

  • Ability to lift 75 pounds or more and perform physically demanding outdoor work.

  • Ability to read construction plans and perform layout work.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Commitment to safety, quality craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to lead crews while maintaining productivity and accountability.

  • 5+ years of construction experience.
