Position Overview

A warm, active family in rural Putnam County, Indiana is seeking an experienced full-time live-in Nanny for their infant daughter, currently six weeks old. The baby will remain home full-time rather than attending daycare, so the Nanny will serve as her primary daytime caregiver.

This is an infant-focused role with light household support attached to the child and the general flow of the home. The family is energetic and spends significant time outdoors, and they are looking for someone equally active who will be comfortable growing with the baby as she becomes more mobile over the coming months. The property is rural and includes a pool; the household also includes a Boxer, and a weekly cleaning service maintains the home.

Benefits

  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week
  • 2 weeks paid vacation
  • 2 paid sick days
  • 2 paid personal days
  • 6 paid holidays
  • Healthcare stipend offered
  • Vehicle provided by the family for work-related driving

Responsibilities
  • Full care of a six-week-old infant, including feeding, bottle preparation, diapering, naps, and daily routine
  • Supporting age-appropriate developmental milestones through play, engagement, and outdoor time
  • Infant laundry and maintaining the baby's spaces and supplies
  • Light meal prep assistance a few evenings per week
  • Loading the dishwasher and light tidying related to daily household flow
  • Light local driving as needed
  • Maintaining a safe environment at all times, including around the pool
Requirements
  • Demonstrated professional experience with infants and newborns
  • Valid driver's license and comfort with light local driving
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Tdap vaccination required
  • Confident swimmer, comfortable in and around water with a child
  • Comfortable with dogs
  • Active, energetic, and comfortable spending significant time outdoors
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to pivot as the day requires
  • Comfortable living and working in a rural setting
  • Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
