About the Role:
Join Peebles-Herzog, Inc. as a Pipe Organ Technician/Tuner, where your expertise will bring music to life! In this position, you'll work with a dedicated team in Columbus, Ohio dedicated to preserving and enhancing pipe organs. The position is full time (40 hours a week). 

Responsibilities:
  • Tune and maintain pipe organs to ensure optimal sound quality and performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and repairs on all components of pipe organs.
  • Document maintenance and tuning activities for each instrument serviced.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques in organ tuning and maintenance.
  • Assist in the installation, repairs, and restoration of pipe organs and related equipment.
  • Work with a variety of tools and technology.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in pipe organ tuning and maintenance is preferred and will be compensated appropriately.

  • High school education or equivalent. 
  • Basic understanding of a musical keyboard and/on musical training. 
  • Basic knowledge and skill with tools.  
  • Ability to lift and carry objects in an excess of 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site tuning and maintenance.
  • Ability to work in cramped or confining spaces, as well as spaces that may be high up requiring access via a ladder. 
  • Strong communication skills for client interactions.
