Case Assignments Regional, Cardiovascular (CV), EP Lab cases, Neurology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, General, Urology, and Well Peds, Pulmonary(bronchoscopy), Gastroenterology (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP), Interventional Radiology, Shifts 2 weeks on, 1 week off position 18 weeks of 7a-5p shift or 17.5 weeks of call and 17.5 weeks of day shift Team Leadership Dr. Jovie Bridgewater, Chief Anesthesiologist Team Highlights The anesthesia care team approach provides a collaborative work environment where CRNAs, MDs, and the surgical team share strong, respectful relationships-led by inspiring and supportive leadership. Currently our care team model includes approximately 3 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs, who have created a cohesive group. Requirements Responsibilities Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX Completion of approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician in Mississippi Board Certification or actively board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesia.
