Job description

SUMMARY
Responsible for effectively serving resort and golf course guests by greeting players, maintaining accuracy of tee times and managing guest pace of play while enforcing golf course rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Greets player and informs golfers of rules and regulations pertaining to the golf course.
  2. Enforces rules of course such as replacing divots, proper attire and practicing at designated sites.
  3. Assists golf course guests with loading and unloading of carts, as needed.
  4. Cleans and checks carts after each use.
  5. Picks range balls and washes said balls as assigned.
  6. Implements measures to expedite play, as necessary.
  7. Checks daily tee times, provides direction and assistance to golfers and ensures the smooth flow of play on the course.
  8. Provides timely updates and communications regarding pace of play, status of tee times, course conditions and other pertinent information to the Golf Pro Shop.
  9. Assists with golf tournaments, as needed.
  10. Informs the golf professional if supplies are low and need to be ordered.
  11. Maintains accurate tee time, customer records and pace of play records.
  12. All other duties as assigned.

You will report directly to the Golf Pro.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
  • The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
  • The ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations
  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service
  • The ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide
  • The ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
  • The availability to work all shifts.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stressful situations.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
  • The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 25 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in outside weather conditions and regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat and cold.
Will be exposed to working in a noisy environment and seasonal elements.
