Job description

We are seeking a seasonal, part-time or full-time Tax Preparer/Tax Staff professional to join our amazing team! Our successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently helping to identify/gather omitted information required to prepare individual and business returns. The successful candidate will then prepare tax returns, perform a detailed self-review and submit to management for final review, utilizing effective time management skills. The successful candidate will have prior experience with QuickBooks, Lacerte Tax Software (or a similar software) and Microsoft Outlook. Having a working knowledge of secure portals (e.g., SmartVault) and a CRM software is a plus. Our successful candidate will also have experience speaking directly with clients to request omitted verbal and written information to complete tax returns.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Form 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065 and other types of tax returns.
  • Assist management with the timely completion of scheduled work based on previously set appointments
  • Work cohesively with team to resolve questions
  • Research tax issues relevant to clients
  • Communicate in a pleasant, professional, concise and organized manner with clients and accounting team.

​Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years Tax Preparation Experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Detail and deadline-oriented
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner using professional written/verbal skills
  • Ability to work well deadlines using time management skills
