Job Description:

Surgical Unit
500 Surgical is a fast paced consisting of 25 beds and a wide variety of patients. We commonly tend to patients that are post op for elective joint replacement procedures, colectomy, colostomy, gall bladder removal, appendix removal, amputations, fractures, mastectomy, bladder tumor and more. We also have medical overflow patients. Working on the surgical floor is hard but rewarding work. Maintaining accurate intake / output and encouraging early ambulation is essential to the post op patient. Following strict infection prevention measures is needed to provide the best care for those who need us. Teamwork is essential to success.

Career Ladder Bonus eligible up to $5,000
The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the patients experiencing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Registered Nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Preferred: Previous nursing experience
