Job description

$2500 SIGN ON BONUS PAID OVER FIRST THREE MONTHS! Driver will be responsible for long-haul transportation of general freight and perishable goods, ensuring safe and timely delivery across extended routes typically lasting 4 to 7 days or longer. This role requires expert vehicle operation, careful route planning, and effective communication with customers and logistics teams to maintain service quality and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Drive long-haul routes transporting general freight and perishable goods
  • Plan routes efficiently to optimize delivery times and fuel usage
  • Inspect vehicles regularly and perform basic maintenance checks
  • Handle cargo with care, ensuring secure loading and unloading
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and records for hours of service compliance
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
  • Track and manage fuel consumption effectively
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch and customers
  • Communicate clearly with customers and team members regarding delivery status

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of truck driving experience
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with operational competency
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Proficient in GPS navigation and route planning
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements
