About the Role

As a Medical/Ophthalmic Scribe, you will work directly with ophthalmologists and clinical staff to document patient encounters, update EMR charts, record diagnostic findings, and ensure accurate, efficient workflow throughout the office. • Record results from ophthalmic tests (OCT, visual fields, fundus photos, etc.)
  • Assist with chart preparation, documentation accuracy, and clinical workflow
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
  • Support physicians during exams by anticipating documentation needs
  • Help with administrative tasks as needed to keep the clinic running smoothly

Qualifications

  • Previous scribe, medical assistant, or ophthalmic experience preferred
  • Strong typing skills and ability to document quickly and accurately
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and fluorescein angiograms is required
  • Interest in ophthalmology, eye care, or medical terminology
  • Excellent attention to detail, grammar, and organization
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Professional, reliable, and eager to learn

What We Offer

  • Competitive and weekly pay
  • Full-time schedule with immediate start
  • Training in ophthalmic terminology and diagnostic testing
  • Hands-on clinical experience for future medical, PA, or optometry careers
