Job description

Promotes excellent customer relations at the work site as you perform equipment rig up and rig down and prepare equipment for the job. Additional responsibilities include safe operation of hydraulic tool equipment and the collection and distribution of data on the job. Assists in communicating the pre-job and on-the-job progress to customer. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact directly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined. A passing score on job-related tests or meeting task guidelines is required. Capable of being deployed to any rig in the work area. Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school or similar education and the completion of the hydraulic tool operator I level competencies. The ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary. Ability to work as part of a team and exercise tolerance and consistency when dealing with others. Ensure all OSHA regulated and customer specific safety training is current. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines. Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement system. Operation and maintenance of the GSI hydraulic tool equipment and any support equipment. Perform operations and rig floor duties. Establish a positive line of communication between GSI and client personnel. Adhere to company, customer, government and environmental regulations at all times. Maintenance and repair of other GSI rental assets. Operation of hand tools and power tools (grinders, hand drills, torque wrenches). Coordinate tool loading operations. Conduct JSA specific to job tasks at hand. Conduct pre-job safety meetings. Supervise all operations while the GSI hydraulic tool is in use. Assumes personal responsibility for ensuring the duties of their position are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner. Minimum of 2 years of experience in oil and gas industry preferred.
