Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Field Training & Adoption Specialist to join our growing team in the oil & gas software industry. This role is critical in delivering hands-on training and support to field personnel and client teams to ensure effective adoption and utilization of our software solutions and applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in oil & gas operations and experience with field-based software systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build client relationships to learn client needs and make recommendations
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions to clients using tools related to drilling, production, and field operations
  • Customize training materials and programs based on client workflows
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and first point of contact for field-level application usage, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  • Ability to host small events at rig sites for company men
  • Gather client feedback to assist in product development and enhance training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Support, and Development teams to ensure seamless deployment and onboarding of new field users
  • Provide on-site support during new software rollouts and upgrades
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry practices, regulatory requirements, and software updates.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in oil & gas operations, field service, or software training roles.
  • Strong knowledge of oilfield workflows and AKM Enterprises solutions that will assist.
  • Experience with oil & gas software platforms (e.g., NOV Max, WellView, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in remote and field-based environments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and training tools (LMS, Zoom, Teams, etc.).
  • Ability to travel extensively, including to remote oilfield locations. Main locations to be Houston and Midland with the abaility to travel to EF, Bakken, Appalachia and other basins.
  • Must be a US Citizen and located in the service area


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus
