As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our patients. About the Role
As a COTA at Highland Care Center, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote patient independence, mobility, and overall well-being. Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting occupational therapists with patient evaluations, treatment plans, and interventions
• Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist
• Implementing and modifying treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in occupational therapy or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach
