Job Description
ECU Department of Campus Living is currently seeking several Facilities Assistants to work hands on as part of a team of students led and supervised by the Facilities Staff of Campus Living.
The selected candidates will be conducting field inspections of Residence Hall rooms and common areas for needed repairs and overall condition of the space. Once inspected, the team will complete various hands-on repairs or enhancements as needed to bring the residence halls to a move-in condition for the next occupants.
The Facility Assistant tasks include:
- Light carpentry
- Wall repair
- Replacement of window blinds and light bulbs
- Furniture repair
- Light Painting
- Other duties to be assigned

There is a weekly work schedule of around 25-35 hours, depending on availability and the schedule of project(s) and class schedules (if any.)
