Job Summary
The Mathematics teacher serves students across the spectrum of 6th Grade Math. The ability to use teaching methods and best practices that inspire and engage student learning across all abilities and multiple intelligences is essential.
Job Description / Essential Elements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
CA Teaching Credential (single subject credential in math) with CLAD certificate required, compliant in core academic area (math), and positive performance evaluations and demonstrated classroom success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The middle school teacher is responsible for establishing standards of expected student progress in each area of study and for developing techniques for assessment of that progress; have complete classroom control and develop a suitable learning environment; supervision of materials, volunteer and para-professionals; accurate record keeping. This person will be expected to contribute to the development and achievement of District goals and school programs through active participation on teacher and parent committees, offering leadership in school and professional activities and maintaining effective, ethical, interpersonal relationships.
