Job description

About Us

Data Analysis Incorporated (DAI) is the controlling entity of the O'Neil family of businesses. DAI and its subsidiaries operate in diverse industries worldwide, including global equity markets, health care, financial services, digital news, and insurance. Our global footprint allows our teams to be responsive to customer needs in a timely and efficient manner. We are dedicated to using technology and innovation to bring change and growth to our businesses. We believe in a dynamic workplace, creating engaging, informative products and services that help our customers succeed. Integrity is an essential characteristic for our firms and our associates; if this describes you, please apply!

Summary

DAI is advancing how the enterprise creates, governs, and uses data. This role leads two connected functions: Master Data and Business Intelligence and Reporting. On the master data side, you own the enterprise master data governance operating model and the functional and business process design that govern how foundational data is created, updated, enriched, validated, approved, activated, deactivated, merged, and retired across its lifecycle. On the reporting side, you own enterprise BI and reporting governance, semantic-model and reporting standards, delivery discipline, prioritization, and the analytics Center of Excellence.

Some master data domains are live and require more mature governance; others remain in design. The reporting operating model is also being established. During the first year, you will work closely with business owners, IT, implementation partners, and team members to review designs, challenge assumptions, resolve issues, set priorities, and establish durable operating practices across both sub-functions.

You serve as the coordinating point for master data and reporting issues that cross functional or system boundaries. You resolve matters within the function's scope and drive cross-functional issues to the appropriate business, IT, or implementation-partner owner, coordinating decisions, action, escalation, and follow-through until resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities

Master Data

  • Own and mature the enterprise master data governance operating model across foundational data domains, including Customer, Vendor, Item/Product, Material, Reference Data, and related manufacturing master data and structures such as raw materials, finished goods, BOMs, and formulas.
  • Define the decision-right framework, stewardship responsibilities, standards and controls, data lifecycle processes, service expectations, issue-management practices, and escalation paths that govern those domains. Business and domain owners retain accountability for business decisions, attribute values, and business data quality within their areas.
  • Establish and ensure effective operation of governed workflows across the master data lifecycle, including creation, update, enrichment, validation, approval, activation, deactivation, merge, and retirement. Apply risk-based approval and exception processes that support timely standard transactions and appropriate review of nonstandard requests.
  • Set standards and controls for naming, classification, defaults and derivations, validation, duplicate prevention, lifecycle status, segregation of duties, exception handling, reconciliation, and auditability. Set the roadmap for standardization, simplification, and automation of master data processes and controls.
  • Lead and actively participate in D365 F&O master data functional and business process design, including consequential decisions about classification, lifecycle, units of measure, dependencies, approvals, and workflow. Partner with IT and implementation partners on technical architecture, integrations, security, platform requirements, and technical implementation.
  • Own the data quality governance framework and measures used to identify and prioritize master data issues. Coordinate remediation with business and domain owners, IT, and implementation partners, clarify accountability, escalate where necessary, and monitor progress through resolution. Business and domain owners remain accountable for the quality and remediation of the business data they own; IT remains accountable for technical data integrity and technical remediation.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, including layered or medallion architecture supporting certified semantic models.
  • Experience with governed workflow tooling such as Power Apps, Dataverse, and Power Automate, particularly for enterprise request, approval, and control workflows.
  • Print, packaging, or comparable production environments, including print estimating systems such as Dynamics Print, and Salesforce CPQ or a comparable quote-to-cash platform.
  • Data governance certification such as CDMP, experience with Microsoft Purview, or an MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline.
Working Conditions

Must be able to perform essential job duties.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each workday), hear the telephone, and enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.

Equal Opportunity Employer

Data Analysis Inc is an equal opportunity employer. All aspects of employment, including the decision to hire, promote, discipline, or discharge, will be based on merit, competence, performance, and business needs. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law.
