Now Hiring: Helpers for In-Home Support - Carlisle, MA

Carlisle, Massachusetts 01741 Location: Carlisle, Massachusetts 01741 Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Friday to Sunday Caregiver Rate: $25 per hour

We are seeking an experienced, calm, and reliable helper to support a male client with severe end-stage dementia. The client is mobile and ambulates independently but may become agitated during personal care, particularly bathing and toileting. A caregiver with strong dementia-care skills and the ability to redirect behavior safely and respectfully is essential.

Care Responsibilities

Morning Routine:

  • Assistance with toileting, bathing, and dressing
  • Maintain a calm, reassuring presence during personal care
  • Clean the bathroom as needed after use
  • Change bed linens and complete client laundry
  • Assist the client in transitioning safely to the living room after morning care

Evening Routine:

  • Assist with toileting
  • Help the client get settled and safely into bed

Schedule

  • Friday to Sunday Morning: 10:30 AM 12:30 PM (2 hours)
  • Evening: 9:00 PM 10:00 PM (1 hour)

Caregiver Preferences

  • Proven experience working with advanced dementia patients
  • Skilled in de-escalation and redirection techniques
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally regulated demeanor
  • BLS or First Aid certification required
  • Comfortable managing occasional agitation while prioritizing safety and dignity
