Job description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – British Columbia & Alberta

Mimak Care is seeking qualified and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for assignments across British Columbia, including long-term care, assisted living, and complex care facilities.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Current, active LPN registration in good standing:
    • BC: BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Valid LPN practice licence with no restrictions preventing the assigned work.
  • Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing program.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification, as required by the facility.
  • Recent Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Sector Check where required.
  • TB screening and immunization records as required by the facility.
  • Strong clinical, medication administration, documentation, and assessment skills.
  • Experience with seniors, dementia, complex care, or long-term care is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.
  • Ability to work within provincial LPN standards, scope of practice, and facility policies.

BC LPNs: Candidates must hold active practising registration with BCCNM before practising as an LPN in BC.

Mimak Care may require additional documentation, screening, training, or competencies depending on the client facility and assignment.
