Job description

Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Seward, AK
Duration: 26 Weeks
Schedule: Nights - 4x12 Hours
Hours: 48 Hours Weekly

Compensation:
  • Traveler Pay: $40-$45/hr based on experience
Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality patient care within a clinical healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will support physicians and Registered Nurses in delivering patient-centered care while performing clinical procedures, monitoring patient conditions, and assisting with daily healthcare operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of physicians and Registered Nurses
  • Take and accurately record patient vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Assist physicians during examinations and minor medical procedures
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed
  • Perform clinical tasks including wound care, dressing changes, and specimen collection
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and medical procedures
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records
  • Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and healthcare compliance protocols
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment
Required Qualifications:Licensure & Certifications:
  • Active Alaska State LPN License required
  • Current AHA BLS Certification required
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of LPN experience within specialty required
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong clinical and patient assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a healthcare setting
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
