A Live In Lighthouse Keeper is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the lighthouse’s lights and navigational aids, ensuring all systems function correctly and performing routine maintenance on equipment and the facility. Daily tasks may include recording weather conditions, communicating with nearby vessels or coastguards, and conducting safety checks and minor repairs. In addition, keepers often manage logbooks and may be involved in groundskeeping or minor administrative duties. Due to the remote nature of the position, self-organization and proactive problem-solving are essential to handle unexpected issues efficiently.
A Live In Lighthouse Keeper is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the operation of a lighthouse while residing on-site. Duties may include ensuring the light functions properly, performing general maintenance, monitoring weather conditions, and responding to emergencies.
