Job Summary:
Power3 Solutions is a company that offers secure network systems and software engineering solutions in both the public and private sectors. They are seeking a Level 1 Network Engineer to provide network support, system design, and security management while working with various network technologies and protocols.
Responsibilities:
• Provides Network support that requires system level design, architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls.
• The Level 1 Network Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:
• Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
• Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.
• Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols.
• Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls.
• Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.
• Able to support on-call requirements.
• Able to work in live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking.
• Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers.
Qualifications:
Required:
• TS/SCI with poly Clearance
• Three years demonstrable experience (with degree, or 5 without) in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection.
• Datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks.
• Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
