Key responsibilities:
Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining layer pick material
handling equipment to ensure efficient product flow within the warehouse. This role
includes troubleshooting minor equipment issues, monitoring system performance, and
supporting safe, accurate, and timely operations in a fast-paced environment.
Duties / Responsibilities
โ€ข Operate layer pick equipment for stacking and destacking processes
โ€ข Monitor product flow to and from automated systems to maintain throughput
โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues
โ€ข Escalate complex equipment or system issues to supervisors or maintenance
โ€ข Report product damage, system errors, and data discrepancies
โ€ข Maintain compliance with all safety policies, including OSHA standards
โ€ข Ensure work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards
โ€ข Understand equipment sensors and system functionality
โ€ข Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
โ€ข Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
โ€ข Identify and report opportunities for process improvement

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work effectively in cold/freezer environments
Ability to climb fixed ladders up to 120 feet while using required fall protection
equipment
Must be able to safely use required fall protection systems and equipment in
accordance with manufacturer specifications
Must be able to safely wear required respiratory protection equipment in accordance
with OSHA standards and manufacturer requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout scheduled
shifts.
