Job description

Description:

Centracore is now hiring experienced Machine Operators for both 1st and 2nd shift. We offer 4-day workweeks with overtime available, steady hours, and a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Shifts run 6:00 AMโ€“4:30 PM (1st) and 4:30 PMโ€“3:00 AM (2nd). Candidates must be reliable, mechanically inclined, and able to pass a background check.


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Produce and/or assemble machined parts made of iron, steel, and aluminum at an acceptable standard rate.
  2. Deburr machined parts using hand tools and pneumatic tools.
  3. Perform routine quality checks on produced parts.
  4. Accurately record production rates, scrap counts, and other documented data as required.
  5. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area using basic housekeeping supplies.
  6. Collaborate with the quality control team for process improvements.

Successful candidates for the position of Machine Operator should demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

Education:

Candidates for the position of Machine Operator should have completed or be on track to complete a high school diploma or graduate equivalent diploma (GED). Prior experience in manufacturing is encouraged but may not be required at the discretion of the hiring team.


Physical Requirements:

This position requires the candidate to be able to stand, kneel, climb, and lift up to 75lbs. repeatedly for a 10 hour work day. Working conditions may be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Candidates must be willing to work overtime if required to meet production objectives and timing.


Safety Requirements:

Employeeโ€™s must be willing and capable to wear Safety Glasses (Non-Tinted) and Safety Toe shoes or boots on the shop floor as well as Ear Plugs at machining centers. The use of a forklift or crane may be required. The wearing of gloves is as needed. Ear buds and radios are not permitted on the shop floor.
