Staffed by exceptional veterinarians and veterinary professionals, we strive to provide the best possible medical care, surgical care, and dental care for our highly valued patients. Provide your best care with more bridges and fewer barriers.   You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.     Role Responsibilities:  

•  Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.  

• With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.  

• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns

• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.  

• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.  

• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.  

• Clean, sterilize and wrap surgical packs
• Maintain overall cleanliness in patient rooms and treatment
• Assisting in kennel duties ( taking patients outside for potty breaks, dishes, laundry)

• Handle lab samples, run in-house lab work 

• Position for and take radiographs 

• Have basic knowledge of vaccines and medications 

• Utilize Vetspire (or comparable practice management software) to review patient records, identify due services, and ensure accurate and timely charge entry.
• Proactively assess patient needs during appointments and support workflow efficiency through accurate service capture and documentation.
• Perform technical nursing duties including subcutaneous (SQ) injections, ear cleanings, and routine outpatient treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Support doctors with common procedures such as nail trims (NTs) and express anal glands (EAG), ensuring patient comfort and safety.

• has excellent communication and customer service skills 

• Ideally have at least 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital 

• is a team player 

• knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology 

• ability to appropriately handle, lift, and restrain animals (dogs, cats, pocket pets, etc.) and stand for long periods of time.

• has basic organizational and computer skills.

       and so much more!      Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $18-23/ hour.
