About the Opportunity
Join one of Canada's leading workplace solutions organizations and play a key role in designing functional, innovative, and client-focused workspaces across the country.
As a Furniture Application Specialist, you will partner closely with sales teams, clients, and project stakeholders to develop furniture solutions that are both technically accurate and aesthetically aligned with each client's vision. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial furniture professional who enjoys the balance of design, technical specification, client collaboration, and project execution—all while working remotely.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop workplace furniture layouts and space plans that meet client requirements.
  • Prepare furniture specifications, pricing, standards programs, installation drawings, and presentation materials.
  • Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, finishes, existing conditions, and project requirements.
  • Meet with clients (virtually and in person) to understand workplace needs and recommend effective furniture solutions.
  • Manage furniture tenders by reviewing specifications, identifying deviations, contributing to product strategy, and supporting value engineering initiatives.
  • Respond to technical product and application questions from clients, sales teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Review architectural, electrical, and construction drawings to ensure furniture plans are fully coordinated.
  • Perform site inspections during project execution to verify installations align with approved plans and specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with vendors, project coordinators, warehouse teams, installers, architects, designers, and construction professionals throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within the commercial office furniture industry.
  • Experience in furniture design, specification, and workplace planning.
  • Proficiency with CET, AutoCAD, and 2020 CAP.
  • Strong understanding of systems furniture, ancillary furniture, and commercial workplace environments.
  • Experience working directly with clients and supporting commercial sales teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
  • Interior Design degree, Architectural Technology diploma, or related education is preferred.
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to client sites as required.
What You'll Receive
  • Competitive compensation
  • Performance bonus program
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits
  • RRSP/DPSP program
  • Employee discount program
  • Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities
  • Fully remote work environment
  • The opportunity to work on exciting workplace projects across Canada
