Messer Construction Co. and Sundt Construction, operating as the Messer-Sundt Joint Venture, are delivering the Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CONRAC) and Terminal Area Roadway Project at Nashville International Airport. This landmark infrastructure program includes the implementation of advanced transportation, parking, traffic monitoring, and technology systems that support airport operations and the customer experience.

As a Technology Project Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, procurement, installation, and implementation of multiple technology systems that are critical to the successful delivery of the project. This role partners with the Joint Venture team, owner representatives, design consultants, contractors, and technology vendors to ensure systems are designed, procured, installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project requirements. This position is assigned specifically to the Nashville International Airport CONRAC / Terminal Area Roadway Project and is expected to remain aligned with the project through completion.
What Will You Do:
  • Coordinate the design, procurement, implementation, testing, and commissioning of project technology systems.
  • Partner with airport stakeholders, design consultants, and the Messer-Sundt Joint Venture team to support completion of technology system designs.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project partners.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and drive resolution of technical issues affecting scope, schedule, or system performance.
  • Review project documentation, submittals, specifications, schedules, and installation requirements.
  • Support procurement and contracting activities for technology systems and related services.
  • Monitor project schedules and coordinate installation activities to align with overall project milestones.
  • Oversee startup, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities for technology systems.
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and communicate status updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assist with development and implementation of project controls, reporting, and documentation processes.
  • Promote project safety requirements and support compliance with all applicable project procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Technology Systems Supported May Include
    • LiDAR-based traffic monitoring systems.
    • Dynamic digital roadway signage.
    • Digital parking messaging and occupancy count systems.
    • Parking revenue control and access control systems.
    • Roadway and operational camera systems.
    • Commercial vehicle identification and tracking technologies.
    • Other transportation, infrastructure, and operational technology systems required by the project.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience managing technology, transportation, infrastructure, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), building systems, airport systems, or similar technical projects.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
  • Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, plans, specifications, and system requirements.
  • Proficiency with common project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
