Job description

Overview

The Traffic Signal Construction Technician works on various projects building traffic signals, highway and street lighting, infrastructure and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) within the Denver metro area and other locations within Colorado. The successful candidate will have prior experience building traffic signal projects within the construction industry.

This position will be covered by a collective bargaining agreement and is a union position. All candidates must be willing and able to sign on with the applicable union if hired.

Sturgeon Electric’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I) electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities

Compensation & Benefits

  • $37.65 - $45.19 per hour. This will be a union position. Wage depends on experience and certifications, and benefits are detailed within the applicable collective bargaining agreement
  • Healthcare for employees and immediate families will be paid by Sturgeon Electric
  • An additional 15% of the wage scale is paid directly into your retirement account
  • Five year vesting period on company-sponsored retirement account
