As a Live-In caregiver, you’ll provide essential non-medical assistance to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Please note:  This position is for clients who live in the greater Baton Rouge area (not Brookhaven).  The caregiver will be required to commute to the client's home in the Baton Rouge area, but will stay for a week at a time during their "on" weeks.
  • Please also note:  This position is for a Live-In caregiver, where you will live in a client's home for 7 days at a time.
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.
  • Create a safe and supportive environment for clients.
  • Foster meaningful connections with clients by engaging in conversation and companionship.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided.

Awarded Best in Home Care Employer of Choice: Granted only to the top-ranking home care providers, based on client and employee satisfaction scores gathered by Home Care Pulse

  • Caregivers will typically maintain a schedule of 8 - 12.5 hours of work, 1.5 hours of uninterrupted meal time, and eight (8) hours of non-working, unpaid sleep time every workday.  Hours may vary.
  • Caregivers will have a private room to sleep in and be available to assist client overnight if needed (any worked time would be paid), while receiving adequate sleep time.
  • It is common practice for clients to allow caregivers to have a few hours of personal time per day while remaining in the home and still available to assist a client if needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: Starts at $185 per day plus meals.
  • Room and board provided (private sleeping, storage space, and meals).
  • Weekly Pay: Enjoy consistent pay on a weekly basis.
