NOW HIRING: PROGRAM TRAINER

JOB TYPE: FULL TIME

Supportive Concepts for Families, Inc, an Affiliate of Apis Services, is seeking to hire a Program Trainer to foster excellent working relationships with others while training and educating others in accordance with Supportive Concepts training policies and procedures.

The pillars of our success in serving so many people have been due to dedicating ourselves to the constant effort to ensure the physical and mental health of the individual served, to ensure their safety and the safety of the community they live in and to create opportunities for them to ultimately live a happy life in a manner that they choose.


The Program Trainer will be responsible for conducting training for new hire orientation as well as continued employee development. Hours of operation are 8am-430pm Monday through Friday. Must be available to work occasional evenings and/or weekends to accommodate training schedules.

POSITION STATEMENT:

The Program Trainer will:

  • Function with autonomy, diplomacy and professionalism within the guidelines established by this organization
  • Assist in the implementation of all existing Training Policies and Procedures
  • Foster a working relationship with all employees, supervisors, and administrative staff
  • Promote the well being of the human aspect of this organization and report any concerns to the Director of Training
  • Promote the organization and an image of high professional esteem
  • Function with the highest esteem in dealing with all employees, supervisors, and individuals of this organization
  • Be an advocate for all of the policies and protocols of the organization
  • Will act as a liaison between management and support staff relative to all training aspects of the organization
  • Will present information utilizing a variety of techniques to ensure all learning types are addressed


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

  • Manage all employees training compliance
  • Maintain certification as a Medication Administration Trainer with ODP
  • Assist in Facilitation and Processing of New Employee Development
  • Report employee training compliance to immediate supervisors and Human Resources Department
  • Implement training policies
  • Schedule training sessions on an annual basis and as needed
  • Schedule and notify employees for training programs
  • Update database to ensure staff receive twenty-four (24) hours of documented training annually
  • Attend training programs to be updated and current on all issues relative to training requirements
  • Maintain training materials
  • Maintain training database with up to date information and distribute as needed to supervisors and Human Resources Department
  • Input and update information into the tracking system as required
  • Send daily non-compliance notification to both Program and Human Resources Department
  • Travel to regional offices and/or affiliates to assist with training compliance- Lewistown & Pittsburgh, PA
  • Create and distribute communications to employees as required
  • Assist employees with navigating the NADSP credentialing program


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associates Degree in Human Services or related field - Bachelor's Degree Preferred

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Human Services or related field

  • Basic skills with Excel

  • Trainer certification for CPI, Medication Administration and CPR/First Aide strongly preferred

  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills

  • Excellent writing skills and record keeping skills

  • Detail oriented
