THE OPPORTUNITY: SEASONAL TO FULL-TIME CAREER PATH

We are currently seeking a dedicated Bartender to join our Food and Beverage team. We hire for this role as a seasonal position with a direct, performance-based pathway to Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) status. Staff members who demonstrate excellent attendance, a strong work ethic, and consistently meet performance expectations will be invited to transition to a full-time, year-round role. Bartender

Department: Food and Beverage

Reports to: F&B Manager

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional performance in their role, embodying Ranch core values, and upholding the standards set for Forbes Five-Star properties. This position ensures guests receive expertly crafted beverages and outstanding bar service. Through seamless anticipatory service, quality products, and exceptional guest experiences, the Bartender contributes directly to the property's reputation for excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, adhering to all sanitation and safety guidelines.

  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with other Food & Beverage team members to ensure efficient service and cohesive guest experiences.

  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws regarding the sale and service of alcohol, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age.

  • Accurately process payments, operate POS systems, and handle cash and credit transactions.

  • Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies, spirits, and garnishes; communicate replenishment needs to the Bar Manager.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Bar Manager or F&B Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume or luxury hospitality setting.

  • Valid TIPS or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification required.

  • Excellent knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by Ranch needs.

  • Manual dexterity to operate bar equipment and handle glassware.

ROOM, BOARD, & TRANSPORTATION

  • Shared on-site staff housing is available at no cost (houses 2-4 people, no pets).

  • Seasonal staff members opting to find their own housing receive a $300 monthly housing stipend.

  • For those carpooling and commuting from Philipsburg or Anaconda, a 15-gallon Carpool Stipend is available.

  • Complimentary access to basic food provisions and a daily lunch prepared by a Staff Cook.

  • Free on-site laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, and a workout room.

SEASONAL COMPENSATION & PERKS

  • Hourly compensation (based on experience) plus bi-weekly gratuities and service fees.
