Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that revenue from table games and poker dropped and the collection of the Self Service Terminal machine are counted and recorded in compliance with the Minnesota Racing Commission standards and company internal controls while ensuring the safeguard of Canterbury Park's assets. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else.
*Saturday & Sunday - Hours between 7am - 2pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, and provides suggestions for growth to management.
  • Safeguard Canterbury Park's assets and adhere to department policies and procedures.
  • Apply positive communication and interpersonal skills with guests (internal and external) at all times.
  • Count, strap and verify currency, MVP, coupons and cash equivalents from the drop in Table Games.
  • Count, record and reconcile Poker drop and jackpot.
  • Confirm physical inventory coincides with recorded numbers in Master Count Sheet, Casino Market Place (CMP) and Bally Module.
  • Collection of Self Service Terminal (SST) Count and record SST deposits.
  • Collection of Vending Machines. Count and record Vending.
  • Complete paperwork and record numbers into Bravo and Bally Module for transportation of chip inventory to Chip Bank and of cash inventory to Vault.
  • Record cash totals into Casino Market Place (CMP) program.
  • Held accountable to a high degree for accuracy, confidentiality and thoroughness of department's records and reports.
  • Pull and empty drop boxes from cart.
  • Assist the Security department in monitoring drop carts.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic math aptitude.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to interact with guests and co-workers in a professional manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, and credit check.
  • Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
