About the Role:
The Auto Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of vehicles by performing thorough diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. This position requires a deep understanding of automotive systems and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. The successful candidate will contribute to customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and clear communication regarding vehicle conditions and necessary repairs. Working in compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations, is essential to maintain a safe work environment for both employees and customers. Ultimately, this role supports the operational success of the service department by minimizing vehicle downtime and enhancing overall service quality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active and valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification.
- Experience working with computerized diagnostic tools and software.
- Additional language skills beyond Spanish.
- Prior experience in a high-volume automotive service center.
