Start Date: August 31, 2026
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
Schedule & Hours: Availability to work various hours is required through the opening. Once we're up and running, the Cultivation Supervisor will be transitioning to a dayshift.

Position Summary
As a Cultivation Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in overseeing daily cultivation activities, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance, quality, and safety standards are met. You'll work alongside leadership to build a strong culture, develop cultivation talent, and help bring our vision to life from day one. This role will be supporting our Surterra Wellness operations in Florida.
What You'll Do
Lead Daily Cultivation Operations
  • Supervise and support daily activities of cultivation production associates.
  • Coordinate staffing and workflow to ensure daily production goals are achieved.
  • Assign work priorities and monitor progress throughout the cultivation cycle.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performance team culture.
Drive Cultivation Excellence
  • Oversee cultivation, harvest, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and Environmental Services (ES) activities.
  • Manage production schedules and ensure cultivation plans are executed efficiently.
  • Monitor plant health, cultivation processes, and environmental conditions to maximize quality and yield.
  • Follow and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and operational effectiveness.
Improve Performance & Processes
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Analyze team performance and provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help optimize cultivation practices.
Ensure Compliance & Safety
  • Enforce adherence to company policies, state regulations, and cultivation compliance requirements.
  • Promote a culture of workplace safety and accountability.
  • Ensure all cultivation activities meet quality assurance standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and operational records.
Train & Develop Team Members
  • Train and mentor new cultivation associates on cultivation techniques, SOPs, safety protocols, and compliance standards.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to develop team skills and strengthen operational knowledge.
  • Support succession planning and workforce development within the cultivation department.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid government-issued photo identification
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based software applications
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving production environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in cannabis cultivation, horticulture, greenhouse operations, agriculture, or related industries
  • Knowledge of cannabis genetics, plant development, and cultivation best practices
  • Experience with crop steering, environmental controls, pest management, and harvest planning
  • Familiarity with introducing new plant varieties and scaling cultivation operations
  • Experience working in a regulated production or manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working in cultivation environments that may be hot, humid, wet, dry, and physically demanding
  • Exposure to temperatures exceeding 100°F during portions of the shift
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
  • Ability to climb and descend ladders safely
