Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Live-In Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals in a home setting. This rewarding position allows you to create meaningful connections while supporting residents with their daily needs. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be an essential part of enhancing quality of life through attentive caregiving, ensuring safety, comfort, and independence for those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities, fostering dignity and well-being every day.

Duties

  • Provide comprehensive personal care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Assist with medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health and safety
  • Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care strategies, to promote safety and comfort
  • Manage meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements and assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
  • Implement behavior management techniques to support residents with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments
  • Operate standard passenger vehicles safely when transporting clients to appointments or community activities
  • Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures to prevent injury during transfers or mobility assistance

Skills

  • Demonstrated assisted living experience and long-term care background in residential or home care environments
  • Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, geriatrics, and memory care techniques
  • Proficiency in vital signs monitoring, medication administration, CPR, and first aid certifications
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or health challenges in home or community settings
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate support and engage effectively with clients and their families
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics
  • Familiarity with cleaning routines, meal preparation, and behavior management strategies in senior or residential care settings
