Physical Therapist, Registry- Days
Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Physical Therapist.
In this role as a Physical Therapist you will examine, evaluate, test and work to alleviate mechanical, physiological or developmental impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or other health and movement related conditions, classifying these disorders, determining a rehabilitation prognosis and plan of therapeutic intervention and assessing the ongoing effects of the interventions.
Through our alliance with Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, the top rehabilitation hospital in the country, we provide the most effective rehabilitation therapies combined with our advanced academic health care. And as a benefit of employment, staff have free access to not only all the UCM educational opportunities, but also the SRALab online Academy webinar catalog (over 190 on-demand and live rehabilitation specific courses); as well as first access and free enrollment in live, in-person courses; and access to SRAlab resources and evidence-based practice tools.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Evaluates patients utilizing the advanced/specialized test and measurements; to determine the physical therapy problem/level of function and the expected discharge environment.
  • Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs.
  • Establishes a treatment plan based upon the evaluation findings; and the patient/family, the referring practitioner, and therapist's goals.
  • Performs advanced/specialized physical therapy techniques and procedures.
  • Treats patients with complex problems ie. co-morbidities and/or poor previous out-comes; consults on difficult cases for staff and referring practitioners.
  • Documents findings; patient progress; and procedures performed, and time required.
  • Instructs patient/families in home programs.
  • Demonstrates effective time management; achieves designated productivity standard.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited program with minimum Bachelor's Degree, Master's or Doctorate preferred.
  • Licensed, or eligible, in the state of Illinois with Notification of eligibility for examination.
  • Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
