Discovery at Home is part of the Discovery Senior Living family of companies, a recognized industry leader for performance, innovation and lifestyle customization that today, ranks among the 2 largest U.S. senior living operators. Established in 2012 with the creation of a Medicare-certified agency in Southwest Florida, Discovery at Home has grown steadily over the years, expanding its operations by starting and acquiring agencies in Tampa, Florida; Plano, Texas; Houston, Texas; and West Palm Beach, Florida. While DAH primarily serves residents living in communities managed by the Discovery Senior Living family of companies, its services extend beyond these communities. Today, the organization offers a comprehensive range of care, including Part A services, Part B services, and Private Duty services. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead group exercise classes, individual exercise classes for residents at Independent Living Facilities.
  • Provide modifications for different fitness levels and abilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized workout space before and after classes
  • Build rapport with participants to encourage regular attendance 
  • Stay current with fitness trends and certifications

Qualifications:

  • Current certification in group exercise instruction or as a personal trainer through an accredited organization preferred.
  • Previous experience working with older adults preferred.
  • Previous experience as a group or individual fitness class instructor preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must have a current CPR certification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skill proficiency. Ability to use Microsoft Windows.
