Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Our Rotor-Wing Pilots provide customer oriented, high quality air medical transport services in a safe and efficient manner. The pilot is expected to act as a proactive and integral team player, both in flight, and during ground operations, utilizing communication and technical skills which will strengthen the company goal of being held in highest regard within the EMS industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
• Maintains a schedule as set forth by the company.
• Ensures aircraft readiness for flight dispatches, these items to include, as described in the appropriate manuals, but not limited to: * All FAR requirements * All Company requirements* Aircraft cleanliness duties * All flight crew requirements
• Accurately completes, in entirety, all required paperwork duties, i.e., duty shift change form, load manifests, duty/time sheets, all within scheduled due dates.
• Continues in educational betterment, e.g., computer training, ground training and flight training.
• Ensures that any and all pertinent information about flight operations will be disseminated to his/her shift change pilot and/or disseminated through the Company Communications Board per policy.
• Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner at all times.
• Attends meetings when required, and is available for training and check-flights outside of normal duty shift rotation.
• Upholds current company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties during scheduled shift as requested by Director of Operations or Chief Pilot.
• Maintains safety as the primary concern.
• Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications

• Current FAA Commercial Certificate with rotorcraft

• Helicopter instrument rating

• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate

• 2,000 Total flight hours

• 1,500 Total Helicopter Hour

• 1,000 total helicopter PIC hours

• 1,000 Hours Turbine

• Minimum of 200 helicopter night flight hours (aided and/or unaided)

Preferred Experience:

• AS350 Experience Preferred

Pilot Incentives:

• $10,000 Salary increase and $3,500.00 per year Instructor Stipend upon completion of Instructor Training

• $5,000.00 per year Check Airman Stipend once certified

INSTRUCTOR / CHECK AIRMAN
• Reports to the Director of Standardization & Training.
• Coordinates with the Director of Standardization & Training regarding scheduling.

• Assists in the development, evaluation and performance of the following (as appropriate):
       • Basic Indoctrination Training
       • Initial and recurrent ground training
       • Initial and recurrent flight training
       • Instrument training (ground and flight)
       • Night vision goggle (NVG) training (ground and flight).
       • Qualification and evaluation flight operations.
       • Requalification and Transition training
• Assists in the development and implementation of flight and ground training schedules.
• Assists the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, and Director of Standardization & Training in all pilot record keeping requirements in accordance with applicable FARs and policies.
• Assists the Chief Pilot and Director of Standardization & Training in the development of the aircraft checklists and Med-Trans Pilot Training Programs.
• Assists the Director of Standardization & Training and Director of Safety in investigating aviation mishaps and performing root cause analysis.
• Corrects out-of-compliance issues immediately. When unable to be corrected immediately, the Certificate Compliance Evaluator coordinates with the Director of Standardization & Training,
• Regional Maintenance Manager, Director of Operations, Director of Safety, or Chief Pilot as appropriate to confirm the problem is corrected.
• Validates that standardized training and checking procedures, required by the certificate, are adhered to.
• Evaluates operational compliance including all aspects of safety, flight operations, maintenance operations, and other procedures and policies as described in the General Operations Manual.
• Has authority to cease operations when an out-of-compliance matter is of a safety or regulatory concern.
• Performs as Check Airman, Flight Instructor, and Ground Instructor.
• Reports all out-of-compliance issues to the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot or Director of Standardization & Training.
• Submits all reports regarding training to the Flight Operations Records Department.
• Understands and is knowledgeable of FARs, Med-Trans General Operations Manual, Training Manual and other required manuals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
