Job description

Marlin Digital Twin is bringing a real revolution to network operators in how they manage, engineer and operate their networks. The key to success, in our view, is a true single source of truth: how do you ensure that everyone in the organisation sees the same network reality? Our Digital Twin is designed to make exactly that possible.

Today, MarlinDT already has its first customers, and we are ready to scale – in the Netherlands and internationally. MarlinDT operates as a start‑up within Merkator: a strong team, a solid customer base and big ambitions.

MarlinDT offers a geographical inventory based on the Esri foundation (ArcGIS Pro, Utility Network, ArcGIS Enterprise) combined with a logical inventory.

We are looking for strong profiles who can help us take MarlinDT to the next level.

As a GIS Functional Analyst, you work on the implementation of MarlinDT at our customers and translate user needs into clear requirements for our developers. It always starts with an idea: you understand that idea, challenge it where needed, and refine it. You analyse what is required to solve the customer’s problem and communicate this clearly to the development team. You support testing and documentation and help continuously improve MarlinDT.

MarlinDT is built on Esri ArcGIS Pro, so the GIS/GEO aspect is always central to what you do.

As an ambitious GIS Functional Analyst, you can later grow into supporting the pre‑sales team (what does a new customer need and is MarlinDT the right solution?) or delivering training to end users.

Your profile
  • Experience in GIS/Telecom/Utilities is a plus, but definitely not a must
  • You have some programming experience: you will work closely with developers, so you understand what they need
  • Esri expertise is a strong asset
  • You have experience with databases, UML, …
  • You are not afraid to learn the above if you do not yet have all the required experience
  • You enjoy working in a self‑managing scrum team where communication is key
What we offer

Merkator offers a competitive salary package including a company car, public transport allowance, smartphone, laptop, meal vouchers, group insurance, hospitalisation insurance, …

When it comes to working from home, we have one rule: there is no rule. We work from home and meet regularly at the office or at the customer’s site – and we will keep this flexibility in the future.
