Primary Care and Urgent Care Physician Assistant
Job Description:
PMA Health | Falls Church, VA
PMA Health is a premier, physician-led multispecialty group seeking a dedicated NP or PA to join our adult primary care and immediate care team. This role offers the perfect blend of clinical autonomy, work-life balance, and top-quality specialist support.
Quick Look:
  • Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 8 AM - 5 PM.
    • 1 weekend/month (Sat/Sun 9 AM - 2 PM) is highly preferred; flexible time off during the week when a weekend shift is worked.
    • Very light, shared call rotation for primary care (roughly 1:15).
  • Clinical Variety: This is a unique hybrid role splitting time between longitudinal adult/geriatric Primary Care and fast-paced Immediate Care (treating all ages), preventing clinical burnout and keeping the day-to-day interesting.
  • Locations: Primarily based at the Falls Church, VA outpatient clinic (with rare, occasional coverage at the Clarendon immediate care clinic).
Practice Overview:
  • Broad Scope of Care: Provide the full scope of primary care services (averaging approximately 12-16 patients/day) to our adult and geriatric patients, or provide walk-in immediate care visits for acute illness and injury (averaging 20-30 patients/day).
  • Clinical Duties: Manage chronic conditions, engage in forward-thinking population health initiatives, and perform general immediate care procedures, e.g. suturing.
  • Unmatched Support: Highly supported environment featuring dedicated Medical Assistants for your primary care panel, plus additional MAs stationed on the urgent care side. The clinic also features a robust suite of ancillary services, including an on-site lab (blood drawing station), radiology tech (X-rays), Dexa scans, and EKGs.
  • Incredible Culture: Join a practice that truly operates like a family, partaking in team-building events and having an open-door policy. We actively advocate for our providers' work-life balance to avoid burnout and ensure long-term stability.
  • Compensation & Benefits: The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $135,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.

Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Virginia license (or eligibility to obtain).

  • Attributes: Strong bedside manner, a relationship-based approach to care, and HIPAA compliance.
