SUMMARY
The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for performing quality inspections, first article inspections, and case-related processing activities associated with incoming inventory and warehouse operations. This role supports the accurate receipt and disposition of parts by verifying compliance with quality standards, documenting inspection results, identifying trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives, inventory accuracy, and operation excellence throughout the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These are the most significant job duties performed. The size, scope and complexity of assigned duties and responsibilities are dependent on the level and experience of the incumbent. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each assigned essential duty satisfactorily. Other responsibilities or special projects not specifically listed below may also be assigned.
  • Perform tasks as directed by the Case Coordinator/QA Lead and QC Manager.
  • Assist with and learn the case management process for incoming parts.
  • Perform quality inspections on First Article Inspection (FANi) parts, purchase orders, transfer orders, and RMA's.
  • Process, inspect, and document First Article Inspection parts prior to receipt into inventory.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation to verify part accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Branch Operations, Purchasing, Sourcing, and other departments to investigate and resolve quality concerns.
  • Communicate quality findings and provide feedback regarding quality holds, nonconforming material, and related issues.
  • Monitor recurring quality issues and identify trends for corrective action and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work with warehouse leadership to resolve operational impacts and implement effective solutions
  • Assist with recall, quality, warehouse, and warranty inspections within the warehouse as needed.
  • Maintain and follow quality and First Article Inspection standard operating procedures for QC and FAIn (SOPs).
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and warehouse processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and actively support 5S initiatives.
  • Complete reports and documentation as requested.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

COMPETENCIES
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and document inspection data.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse inventory and receiving processes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience Required:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a warehouse environment with parts.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Job-Specific Knowledge:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Knowledge of receiving processes and inventory transactions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desired Education/Experience:
  • Associate degree
  • Experience operating pallet jacks or powered industrial equipment
