Job description

STV is seeking Field Inspectors to join the firm based in our New York City, NY offices.

These positions will report to Field offices

*****This position must have the flexibility to work shifts as needed including swing, night, or weekends*****

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESinclude, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform inspections on existing conditions, work being performed, and completed work for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Prepare written documentation, including daily work reports, controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work.
  • Review and mark plans and specifications as needed to ensure and track compliance with the work performed.
  • Observe work conditions for compliance to applicable safety regulations.
  • Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously; and follow through on projects to successful completion.
  • Communicate with various parties on the progress of the work in a timely manner.
  • Other related duties and tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONSinclude, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or in a related field preferred
  • 1 or more years of experience in construction supervision/inspection
  • Prior experience with rail, tunnel, structural, station preferred
  • Prior experience with substations preferred
  • Advanced certifications preferred (NICET, ACI, etc.)
  • Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC Background Check at High Level
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Compensation Range:

$66,320.00 - $75,364.00
